Procurement of Works

Price: $ 22

Spanish edition. This is the updated version of the September 1996 edition of the Standard Bidding Documents for Procurement of Civil Works in countries regulated by civil law. The Documents have been prepared by the World Bank in conformity with what is prescribed in the leaflet Normas: Adquisiciones con Prestamos del BIRF y Creditos de la AIF (January 1995, revised in January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999), based on the 1984 document Clauses administratives applicables aux Marches publics de Travaux published by the French Central Commission for Civil Works, and revised to include the mandatory dispositions of the Normas. These Standard Bidding Documents must be used by borrowing countries and their executive bodies in the public procurement of projects totally or partially financed by the World Bank, to call tenders and evaluate offers that have prequalifed. Borrowing countries and their executive bodies need to carefully verify that the dispositions contained in these Standard Bidding Documents for Procurement are pertinent to the type of contract and the type of works to be undertaken. Sections I-VIII contain the general and specific dispositions for each contractual aspect; Section IX indicates the exceptional procedures, which need to be followed, with the consent of the World Bank, in case there has been no prequalification and an ex-post evaluation is necessary. Also available in French: 1996. 192 pages. 8 ½ x 11. Stock no. 13846 (ISBN 0-8213-3846-3, French).
