Actually the only guide to Georgia, as far as we know, and long out-of-print but now extensively revised.
Bordered by the Caucasus Mountains to the north, the Black Sea to the west, Azerbaijan to the east and Turkey to the south, Georgia stands at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. This fascinating land is home to one of the most hospitable people in the world whose culture dates back to the Bronze Age. This first ever guide written in English explores the country in depth. Literary excerpts from renowned Georgian authors and from the national epic, The Knight in the Panther¿s Skin, provide additional insights. A preface by President Eduard Shevardnadze welcomes the reader to this recently independent country.
