Internet: Une chance pour l'Afrique
Jacques Bonjawo
Price: $ 30

Information and communication technologies (ICT) play an increasingly prominent role in development. However, the effective use of ICT is hampered by the purchase and running costs of equipment, poor deployment and expensive access to the Internet. In his recently published book entitled, ¿The Internet: An Opportunity for Africa¿, Jacques Bonjawo outlines a more optimistic point of view, proposing alternative solutions to filling the information gap between the North and the South.

Mr. Bonjawo is Program Manager with Microsoft Corporation in the Internet MSN.com division. A leading expert in ICT, Mr. Bonjawo received the Bill Gates Award for Contribution to the Microsoft History. He was recently elected chairman of the boards of directors of the African Virtual University. Mr. Bonjawo holds an MBA from George Washington University and an engineering degree in Computer Science from Ecole Supérieure d'Informatique in Paris, France.
